The playoffs start at home for local teams

Four local teams are headed to the playoffs in football this year and two of them play tonight, both with home field advantage.

The undefeated Stephenville Yellow Jackets (10-0, 5-0) are playing at 7:30 p.m. in the Tarleton State Memorial Stadium against the Wildcats from Fort Worth Dunbar High School. The Wildcats are the fourth place team in District 6-4A and come into Stephenville with a 6-4, 4-3 record for the season and have lost their last two games. The Yellow Jackets, who are ranked 2nd in the state and are first in District 5-4A, are picked to win the game. Tickets are $10 for seat back, $6 for general admission and $4 for students. The Hico Tigers (5-5, 2-2) face a more uphill battle tonight as they face the Windthorst Trojans (9-1, 3-1) at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium in Hico. The Trojans are in 2nd place in 7-2A District  and are on a three-game winning streak. The Tigers are in 3rd place in District 8-2A and are looking to avenge the lost in the bi-district round last season to the Trojans. 

Dublin and FAITH will take the field Friday evening in their bi-district matchups and The Flash will have more on them tomorrow!
