November 10, 1929 ~ November 19, 2021 (age 92)

Thomas A. Key, Jr., Seminole resident, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 92.  Thomas was born on November 10, 1929, in Lingleville, Texas to Thomas A. Key Sr. and Ethel C. May (Hallmark) Key.  He grew up in Desdemona, Texas and resided for 50 years in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Thomas served in the United States Army during the Korean War in Koje-Do Island.  Thomas married Judy Doris (Peoples) Key who passed away on February 2, 2003.  He was a long time employee of Kewanee Oil Company, later Gulf Oil and Chevron were he retired.  At the time of his death, he was still employed part time supervising an oil well owned by a long-time associate, Daniel Trachtenberg of Houston.  

Thomas had a great interest in engine lathes, vintage Ford cars and vintage English sports cars.   He also enjoyed traveling and camping in the Western United States.  He was also a member of the Elks Lodge.

Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas A. Key III of Seminole, Oklahoma; brothers, Larry Key and spouse, Linda and Mike Key; sisters, Anita Mohon and spouse, Linzy and Sharon Collinsworth and spouse, Tim and many other family and friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel C. May; father, Thomas A. Key Jr. and wife, Judy Doris Key.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Desdemona Cemetery in Desdemona, Texas.
