James Jowell Roberson, 23, of Rock Hill passed away on November 24, 2021. Born May 19, 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald Charles “Roby” Roberson and Heather Jack Crouser. James was a former Indiana, Mississippi and Texas resident, where he still has many loved ones.

James moved to Rock Hill, SC in 2014 with his family. A 2019 graduate of Rock Hill High School, he was a true Bearcat. James never met a stranger, he was well known around campus for his joyful personality and his friendly greetings. James participated in many Rock Hill Parks and Recreation programs; including therapeutic horseback riding, Camp Arc and participated with his classmates in Special Olympics Bowling and Spring Field events.

James loved spending time with his family, talking to his grandpa on the phone, making sure everyone was “ok”, working with his father, spending time with his friends and his brothers’ friends, watching his favorite movies, listening to music and singing his favorite George Strait tunes. Some of James’ greatest joys were attending Rock Hill football games watching his brothers Jackson and Judge compete, cheering for his other favorite players who were his closest friends. Once James ran back a kickoff for a touchdown for his “little” brother Jackson’s youth football team. James was a blessing and a joy every moment of his life. He loved everyone he knew whole heartedly and was loved that much in return.

Preceded in death by his grandfather James Ray Roberson, grandmother Susan Gay Dorsett, grandfather Stephen Jack, uncle Greg Torrise, cousin Ryan Roberson and friend Scotty Fripp.
