Larry Dale Cotten, 69, of Round Rock, Texas was called home to the Lord on November 27, 2021. As hard as it is to feel his absence, his family and friends are happy that he is once again without pain.
Larry was born on March 11, 1952 to Charlie and Nell Cotten. He was raised in Comanche, Texas where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Sherrie Freeman (Cotten). Larry worked in fire protection, and was a proud member of the local 669 for 52 years. Although he was a hard worker all his life, Larry is remembered by his family and friends as someone who loved fun. He loved to spend weekends with a cold beer in his hand grilling ribs on his back porch with all the doors open and country western music playing from the stereo.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nell as well as his son, Ricky. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie, of Round Rock, Texas; son, Garrell, and his wife, Susan, of Comanche, Texas; son, William, and his wife, Tammy, of Brenham, Texas; son, Connally, and his wife, Cassandra, of Round Rock, Texas; and daughter, Charlee, and her wife, Tiffany, of Liberty Hill, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren Kyli Cotten, Dillon Cotten, Ali Cotten, Mason Cotten, Christopher Cotten, Keegan Stoutenburg, Maddyson Cotten, Jackson Pennington and Tanner Pennington.
Service Details
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, December 3, at the Comanche Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, in the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sardis Cemetery in Comanche.
