The family of Eva Marwitz Warden created this Life Tributes page to make it easy to share your memories. So share a memory below because a comforting word from you means a lot.

Eva Sophie Warden was born January 12th, 1940 in Hamilton County to Otto E. Marwitz and Erna A. Seider Marwitz. She went to her eternal home on Feb 12th, 2022 at 82 years of age.
Eva married N.T. Warden on October 10th, 1959 and raised four children together.

Instead of the kids leaving town after they graduated, her and N.T. left town and moved to Hico where they made the Rio Terra their home.

Till the very end she loved the view of looking out over the pastures to see the cows grazing at sunset. She loved to dance and although she gave it up when she married into a Baptist family, her love for it never went away.

She grew up in a Christian family and accepted Christ at a young age.

Eva loved to teach Sunday school and served on the kitchen committee for many years at Clairette Baptist Church. She loved southern gospel music, especially when it was her grandkids that were playing and singing. She was a hard worker and loved to work outside in the garden or with the animals. If she wasn’t outside, then she was inside quilting or baking, especially her homemade German bread. Nothing compared to her cooking and the bottles of sweet, iced tea she kept in her refrigerator.

She is preceded in death by her husband, N.T. Warden and brother, Durwood Marwitz and son-in-law Kenneth Cox. Survived by her sister Kathy McCartney, and Sister-in-law Norma Marwitz. Her children, Marzell Cox, J.C. and Marla Warden, R.T Warden, and A.L Warden. 10 Grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
