Vivian Rasberry Christian, 86, of Stephenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 19th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Wells officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery.  Visitation with the Christian family will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Vivian was born on July 8, 1935, in Morgan Mill to the late Curtis and Dora Leatice Reagan Rasberry.  She married Horace Christian on January 29, 1954 in Stephenville.  Horace preceded her in death on May 9, 2013.  For over 43 years Vivian worked as a Registered Nurse at Stephenville Hospital, Texas Health Harris Methodist.  Vivian was a member of Cross Timbers Baptist Church, and has lived in Stephenville since 1953.

Vivian was devoted to her family, an avid reader and Texas Rangers fan. One of her favorite pastimes was writing short stories and poems. She always put others before herself and happily cared for those who were lucky enough to be loved by her. She will be remembered for her quiet strength and selflessness. She was strong in her faith and is safe in the arms of our lord. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Vivian is survived by her sons, Joe and wife Patti Christian of Stephenville, and Clay Christian and his significant other Ronda Poindexter of Stephenville; daughter, Charlotte and her husband Dennis Harris of Sagerton; grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Chad Hallman, Heather Anderson, Erin and her husband Jonathon Rittenhouse, Derek Harris, Cody Christian, Sara and her husband Jeramy Brod, Carl Christian and his wife Katie, and Will Christian and his wife Rachel; great grandchildren, Dakota, Denver, Jaci, and Jenna Hallman, Caleb Anderson, Sydney Bollum, Adeline Bolt, Alana Brod, Alexis and Addison Rittenhouse, and Madison Christian; sister, Ruby Sperling; sisters-in-law, Renois Rasberry and Luann Melton; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, and husband, Horace; Vivian was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Fay and Charlie Melton, and Marie and Waldo Lowe; a brother, Robert Rasberry.
