Bees, Jackets hit the road for Bi-District matches in Sweetwater Thursday

The No. 7 Stephenville Honeybees (18-0-2) will take the pitch as the home team against the Lubbock Estacado Matadors (5-13-2) at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, in Sweetwater for the Bi-District title. The Bees are not only ranked 7th in the state, but also come out of District 4-4A undefeated champions. Stephenville is in first place in district play with Brownwood in second, Graham in third and Mineral Wells in fourth place. While the Matadors are in fourth place in District 3-4A. 

 The Honeybee game is the first game in a Stephenville HS soccer playoff doubleheader, with the Yellow Jackets taking the field following the Bees match at 7 p.m. 

The No. 5 Stephenville HS Yellow Jackets (17-2-1) are undefeated champions of District 4-4A and will face the Midland Greenwood Rangers (2-14) for the Bi-District Championship. Stephenville, which hasn’t lost a match since January 28 to Fort Worth Castleberry, are on an 11-game winning streak and are looking to continue that success in post season play. 

Tickets for each game are $4 for general admission and can only be purchased at the gate.
