Tommy Gene Coan was born on March 2, 1970, in Eastland, Texas and raised by Norman Harold Coan and Pamela Joyce Musick. Always a hard-worker, Tommy joined the workforce immediately after high school. He worked in the oil and gas industry for over 25 years and eventually became self-employed at his own hotshot company.

Tommy was married to the love of his life, Myndie Coan, for 25 years and together they raised two wonderful daughters, Lakota Brooke Coan and Kylie McKenna Coan. He was a member of Harvey Baptist Church and regularly attended Victory Baptist Church. Tommy loved spending time with his family, many friends, and enjoyed cracking jokes with all of them every chance he got. His other hobbies included fishing, going on cruises, and buying more guns and ammo than his wife would have liked. He was always helping others and never knew a stranger, with his giving heart and infectious personality making him friends everywhere he went.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Myndie of Morgan Mill; daughters, Lakota Brooke Coan of Stephenville and Kylie McKenna Coan of Morgan Mill; mother, Pamela of Stephenville; father and mother-in-law, Don and Cindy Morse of Lingleville; brothers, Norman Coan Jr. of Stephenville, David Coan of North Carolina, and Randy Coan of Stephenville; he is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and loving extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Tommy is preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Norman Coan; sister, Melanie Dian Coan.


Service Information

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20, at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.
