Dalton Floyd Craddock went to be with the Lord on June 3rd, 2022. Dalton was born on August 24th, 1927, in Dublin, TX to his parents, Thomas D and Veleska Craddock. After his mother passed away, his father married his new mama Mabel Carr Craddock, who raised him. He attended Lingleville and Dublin Schools, drove trucks for his Dad and then joined the US Army in 1946. He was stationed in Japan during World War II. After being honorably discharged from the Army he worked for Halliburton and other jobs before buying an upholstery business in Slaton, TX in the early fifties. He later surrendered into the Ministries and became a Baptist Preacher. He moved back to Dublin and opened his business there in 1961 and operated it until his retirement in 1992. During the seventies Dalton and his five young children had a radio show called “Shelter from the Storms” where Dalton preached and his children sang. The broadcast ran for two years. Later Dalton married Monie Warren Wright. After he retired in 1992, they traveled in his RV and enjoyed the new places they were blessed to see. He was an active member of his church, The Washington St. Baptist Church in Stephenville, where he enjoyed singing and occasionally teaching. His last sermon at the age of 90 was in May of 2018 where he led his daughter-in-law Lisa, to Christ. He took joy in bringing many people to the Lord. 
Dalton is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas D and Mabel Craddock, his wife Monie Warren Craddock, son Neal Craddock, Daughter Sherry French, Sister Diana Hancock, Brother Gaylon Craddock. 
Dalton is survived by his fiancé, Barbara McKeage of Stephenville, TX, his son Danny and wife Marisa Craddock of Bangs, TX, his daughter Mary LaJaun Idaho of Austin, TX, his son Randy and wife Lisa Craddock of Early, TX, his son Gary Craddock of Brownwood, TX, and his fiancé Shelley Johnson of Brownwood, TX, his children’s mother Lena Modell Kinsey of Bangs TX, his bonus daughter Debbie Prater of Dublin, TX, a brother Terry Don Craddock of Dublin, TX and sisters Faye Moncrief Thompson of Dublin, TX, Meribeth Rogan of Stephenville, TX, and Joy Dyson of De Leon, TX  along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday June, 6th, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at Harrell Funeral Home. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 7th, 2022 at 2pm at Harrell Memorial Chapel with the internment following at Dublin Liveoak Cemetery.
