The Stephenville Yellow Jackets (24-12-1) face a must win situation tonight as they face the No. 3 Argyle Eagles (33-3-1) for Game 2 of the Regional Finals at 7 p.m. at Weatherford College.
Game 1 did not go well for Stephenville Thursday in Weatherford as the Jackets couldn’t seem to get a hit and committed four errors.
Argyle pitcher Evan Brandt kept the Stephenville bats cold, allowing only two hits. The Jackets were able to score two runs late, but the Eagles had already done their damage with 7 runs.
Friday night’s game will be a chance for Stephenville to come back and tie the series to force a Game 3 on Saturday. But the Jackets will face a tough Argyle squad that has something to prove after last year’s sweep by Stephenville.
First pitch is at 7 p.m. at Weatherford College and tickets are $5, cash only at the gate.
