Bobby Loil Richmond, 86, passed away on June 9, 2022 in Dublin, TX. Bobby was born on November 5, 1935 in Oakwood, TX to his parents Joe D. Richmond and Beatrice (Simpson) Richmond. He married Margaret Wanda (Whitehead) on April 11, 1964 in Gatesville, TX. Bobby was a retired military veteran after serving 23 years in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Award winning member of the Military National Rifle Team. Bobby worked for the core of engineers at Proctor. He loved hunting, fishing, and enjoyed playing softball as the pitcher for many years. He was an avid gardener.
Bobby was proceeded in death by his parents, his daughter Sharon Lee Moncrief, his brother Alvin Richmond, his baby sister Virginia May Richmond, and his baby brother Archie Earl Richmond.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Richmond of Dublin, TX, his sons and daughters-in-law Ricky and Robin Richmond of Dublin, TX and Tony and Brenda Richmond of Stephenville, TX, his daughter and son-in-law Kathi Ann and Kerry Bullard of Dublin, TX, his daughter Patricia Lynn Richmond Blackshear of Alexander, TX, his grandchildren Bobby Jo, Jennifer, Mary, Michelle, John Micheal, Chad, Hollie, Katie, Jacob, Josh, Becky, Ben, Racheal, Cory Lynn, and Joe, numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, his sister and brother-in-law Carol and Jim Mead of Houston, TX, and numerous other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Proctor Cemetery.
A visitation will take place Monday, June 13, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home.
