Greg was born in Tulare, California on April 4, 1955, to Clifton and Wanda (Todd) Thompson. He married Melissa Whitworth on April 16th, 1995, in Dublin, Texas at the Cottonwood Baptist Church.
Greg was a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born in Dublin, Texas. He loved serving the Lord. He was also a member of the American Legion. Greg was a member of the AOPA & Mooney Association, and he loved flying.
Greg was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Conflict.
Greg is survived by his wife, Melissa Thompson; 7 children, Brandy Reed and husband Mike of Boyd, Texas, Dandi Thompson of Stephenville, Texas, Clifton Thompson and wife Tana of Dublin, Texas, Dean Thompson and wife Jessica of DeLeon, Texas, Amanda Hazelwood and husband Bobby of DeLeon, Texas, MaKailey Huff and fiancé Dominique of Montgomery, Texas, and Shelbi Hendrix and husband Daniel of Dublin, TX; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Susie Creech and husband Jim of Dublin, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Evelyn Fowler, granddaughter, Julie Reed, and a great granddaughter.
