STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton’s newest member of the tennis program is the first transfer in the new crop, as the Texans announced Monday they have added Audrey Pacheco.

Pacheco played the last two seasons at Saint Mary’s, an NCAA Division I program out of the West Coast Conference.

“I am thrilled to have Audrey join the purple and the white,” head coach Elianne Douglas-Miron said. “Audrey has the energy necessary to make a big impact on our team. She brings D1 experience and the desire to improve quickly. I am excited to see her game grow and can’t wait to have her in Stephenville in August.”

Before the college ranks, the Tarleton incomer played four years on varsity at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California, taking First Team All-Conference honors in the West Catholic Athletic League in 2019.

Pacheco hails from Morgan Hill, California, and plans to pursue a communications degree at Tarleton. Academically at Saint Mary’s, she was named a Scholar Athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Pacheco is the sixth brand new member on Tarleton’s 2022-23 roster. Elif Albayrak, Ximena Morales, Emma Persson, Laure Razet and Clara Sobius will also make their Texan debuts this fall.
