November 26, 1948 ~ June 30, 2022 (age 73)

Diane Jeanne Tidwell of Stephenville, Texas passed peacefully on June 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and friends after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Diane was born in Lewiston, Pennsylvania to Bob and Ruth Noerr. After Diane graduated high school, she went onto business school in Houston, Texas where she graduated with an associate degree.

Diane was a loving and caring woman and a pillar in her community. She was known for her devout love for her family & animals, her beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments, and her commitment to being Co-Founder to the Erath Sheriff’s Posse for 25 years and Co-chair to the MS trail ride for 20 of those years. She was an avid horse rider, who enjoyed doing anything outdoors with family and friends and a devout Catholic to St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.

She married Bill Tidwell in 1968 and celebrated 45 years of beautiful marriage until his passing on September 23, 2013.

To know Diane is to know her love for her family. She was a loving mother, gracious grandmother, and a fantastic GG to her great grandchildren. She is survived and missed by her children, son, Steven P. Tidwell and his wife Sarah of Vernal, Utah; her two daughters Stacey M. DeSpain of Pilot Point, Texas and Tracey E. Goosen of Stephenville, Texas; grandchildren, Jason, Kristina, Ryan, Rebecca, Kyle, Gracelynn, Chelsea, Tara, Erica, Alexis, Stephanie, Jaimey, and Jessica and their partners, and the many great grandchildren that she loved so fiercely.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill L. Tidwell; her son, David A. Tidwell; her parents, Bob and Ruth Noerr; her brother, Rob C. Noerr; and her 4-legged best friend Rosie #1.

Service will be held at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel. Saturday July 23, 2022, at 1:00pm. Following the service, there will be a get together at Greer’s Ranch Café at 190 W, College St, Stephenville, Tx 76401.
