Jonnie Morene Williams, 81, of Stephenville, Formerly of Friona, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Nance officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock.
Jonnie was born on April 10, 1941 in Clovis, New Mexico to the late Johnny W. and Elthie M. Brannon Hand. She married the love of her life, Kirby D. Williams on December 27, 1960 in Friona, Texas and together they had two daughters. Kirby preceded Jonnie in death on November 18, 2014. Jonnie grew up in Friona and has also lived in Fort Worth and Aledo before moving to Stephenville. She earned an associate degree from Lubbock Christian University but her career was as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Kelijon Nance and husband Jerry of Stephenville, and Heidi Hooten of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Karson Nance and fiancé Kylie Foster of San Marcos, Barrett, Brynleigh, Brylen Hooten all of Fort Worth; sister, Wessie Hand of Friona; nieces, Ashlee Gee Roberts, Dustee Gee, Natalee Harris, Emalee Roberts, Keeton Roberts; special cousin LeVada Hand Bush, and many cousins, nieces, nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Elthie Hand; husband, Kirby Williams; and an infant sister, Jennie Lee Hand.
Memorials may be made to the Lubbock Christian University.
