Mack Murray Hicks, born March 10, 1935, passed from this earth on August 19, 2022. Surviving Mack are his wife of 61 years, Gale Hicks and their children Melody Vann, Beverly Hicks, and Jim Hicks, 3 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin & Clarice Hicks; his brothers & sister: Gene & Cecil Hicks & Betty Christian.
Mack was a resident of Hico most of his life. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1964. In 1967 he began working for the local Funeral Home as a grave digger until retirement in 2017.

Mack was buried on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in the Country Oaks Cemetery on Hwy 220 in Hico.
