The #13 Stephenville Honeybees burned the ‘Wood on the court Friday afternoon in Gandy Gym. The Bees (20-8, 2-0) took out the Brownwood Lady Lions (4-18, 0-3) in three straight sets, 8-25, 9-25, 13-25, to remain undefeated in District 6, 4A play.
Stephenville tied in District 6 with #15 Glen Rose (21-9, 2-0) and both are ahead of #16 Graham (24-10, 2-1) who sits firmly in place ahead of Mineral Wells (18-10, 0-2) and Brownwood. The state rankings are based on the 2022 Texas Girls Coaches Association Poll. The poll will be updated on Monday, October 3.
Next up for the Bees will be a big time district match up against the Glen Rose Lady Tigers at home in Gandy Gym on Tuesday, October 4, with varsity beginning at approximately 6 p.m. (after the JV match). This will be a tough game for both teams and sure to be one you don’t want to miss.
