The second annual Lone Star Fireworks Festival is going to be held on Saturday, October 15, and it’s not something you want to miss. Gates open at 4 p.m. and the fireworks will start about 7, with all kinds of family fun in between. Beth and Chris Stasey and company put on one heck of a show and it’s for a wonderful local cause – the Fosters’ Home for Children in Stephenville.

We spoke to Chris last year before the first event and he said he hoped to grow the event to benefit Fosters for years and the second event has definitely grown from the first event. Last year the Staseys were able to raise $9,500 for Fosters Home and Beth said they hope to do even better this time.

There will be six or more different pyromusicals on Saturday, a special shell demonstration, fireballs and a drone show. The full show will last about two and a half hours with different companies from all over the state each contributing a part of the show.

But fireworks aren’t the only fun at the festival, there will be concessions available thanks to various food trucks on site. But you can also bring your own cooler with food and drinks, if you’d rather. Stasey simply asks no one bring in any glass bottles or alcohol as this is a family-friendly event.

The festival will once again be held at Stasey Field on the B Bar S Ranch, located at 4137 County Road 196, Bluff Dale, 76433. Gates will open at 4 p.m. and attendees can come spend the afternoon enjoying the festivities. Ticket prices are per carload and online are $40 per carload. “These are not your typical backyard or municipal fireworks displays. With all the choreography and special effects, this is a one-of-a-kind event that you don’t want to miss out on!”
