Carolyn Sue King passed away October 22, 2022, in Stephenville, at the age of 68 years, after fighting a long, tough, and painful battle with cancer. Services will be at 10 o’clock a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Shannon Grubbs and Rev. Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Greens Creek Cemetery (behind Greens Creek Baptist Church, off US Highway 377 – Dublin Highway, on County Road 380, Dublin.) Visitation will be held at Lacy Funeral Home, 1380 Harbin Drive, Stephenville, from 5:00 o’clock to 7:00 o’clock p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Carolyn was born in Arkansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1979 with an associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, and thereafter moved to Stephenville, Texas. She graduated from Tarleton State University in 1990 Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Criminal Justice. She was retired at her death and was a member of the First Christian Church, Stephenville, Texas.

Carolyn will be remembered for her fiercely loyal friendships, her endless dedication, her strong will, and her boundless love. More importantly, Carolyn will be remembered for her Christian walk and her faith in and love for her Christ Jesus, with whom she will now spend eternity. The day of her death was also the best day of her life – the day she laid eyes on her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Edd and Mary King, and her brother, Bob G. King.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Kathie King Meador and husband, Paul, of Freeport, Texas; her brother, Edward W. King and wife, Barbara, of Stephenville, Texas; her sister-in-law, Elaine King of Redfield, Arkansas; her niece, Norma King Walker and husband, Jimmy, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; her nephew, Steven King of Redfield, Arkansas; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and countless other family members, as well as many friends whom Carolyn considered as close to her as family members, and whom she called “my framily.”

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Care Services, 623 Henderson, Fort Worth, Texas 76104 and CCS Hospice, 118 E. Live Oak, Dublin, Texas 76446.
