The Stephenville Honeybees (27-8, 7-0) are undefeated in district play and well on their way to being District Champions after beating the Glen Rose Lady Tigers (24-11, 5-2) on Friday, 19-25, 25-22, 26-28, 25-22, 16-14.
The two teams came out swinging and traded blows for the first three sets. The Lady Tigers took the first and third matches, but the Bees won the second set and then the fourth and fifth sets to claim the district title. This puts Glen Rose in second place in District 6, 4A, while Stephenville sits in first.
Stephenville will wrap up district play at home in Gandy Gym on Tuesday, Oct. 25, against the Graham Lady Blues (27-12, 4-3) who are in third place in district. Tip off is at 6 p.m. Come cheer as the Bees look to win out in district.
