Four area teams are headed to the area round of playoffs

The Stephenville HS Honeybees (29-8, 8-0) are bi-district champions after defeating Lubbock Estacado (11-22, 4-6) in three straight sets, 25-11, 25-6, 25-11, Tuesday in Abilene. The Bees are coming out of District 6, 4A in first place and will now face the Krum Lady Bobcats (23-17, 6-4) on Thursday, November 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Aledo High School Gym for the Area Championship. Krum are coming out of District 8, 4A in third place behind Decatur and Springtown and beat the Wichita Falls Coyotes in four sets to reach the area game. 

The Hico Lady Tigers (5-13, 2-3) are headed to the Area Championship game after defeating the Quanah Lady Indians (14-11, 7-2) in five close sets, 21-25, 25-18, 25-16, 17-25, 15-13. The Lady Tigers will now head to Brownwood on Saturday, November 5, to face the Lady Cats of Hawley (26-16, 7-1). Tipoff is at 4:30 p.m. in the Brownwood HS gym. 

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals (10-9, 5-0) were undefeated in District 13, 1A and got a bye in the first round of playoffs. The champs are now facing the Richland Springs Lady Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 3, in the Zephyr HS gym.

The Bluff Dale Lady Bobcats (15-9, 4-2) defeated the Rising Star Wildcats in four sets on Tuesday to claim the bi-district title. The Lady ‘Cats are coming out of District 13, 1A and will now face the Evant  Lady Elks (15-8, 4-0) on Friday, November 4, in the Evant HS gym. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
