Friends and family knew him to be a very giving and loving man.  He loved to chat and never met a stranger. In most conversations he got in one of these comments, “I’m not going anywhere until the good Lord is ready for me.”, “You can’t out give God.”, “No need to worry, talk to the good Lord.”  Jimmy was a veteran and was blessed to have had excellent care throughout his life from the Veterans Affairs (VA).

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, J.A. and Flora Long, his wife, Agnes Long, and his two sisters Lora Cobb and Lavone Wolff.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Tim Long, daughters, Jamie Long, Connie Chapman and husband, Mark, grandchildren, Shelby Rainwater and husband Walker, Colby Chapman and fiancée Rachel Holle, and numerous family and friends.  Especially special friends Doug Moon and Bobby Wood.
