Two area teams headed to Regional Semifinals

The Stephenville Honeybees (32-8, 8-0) extended their winning streak on Monday night with a sound defeat of the Springtown Lady Porcupines (29-15, 8-2) for the Regional Quarterfinal Championship in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23. The Bees will now be headed to Lubbock for the Regional Semifinals Friday. They will play the winner of Hereford and West Plains, which is set for Tuesday evening, on Friday at Frienship HS (southwest of Lubbock). 


The Lingleville Lady Cardinals are making history. They are Regional Quarterfinals Champions and headed to the Regional Semifinals for the first time in school history. The Lady Cardinals (11-9, 5-0) defeated the Rochelle Lady Hornets, who were ranked 7th in the state by the Texas HS Girls Coaches Association, in three sets, 25-14, 25-10, 27-25. Lingleville will now face the winner of Benjamin and Harrold, who play Tuesday evening, for the Regional Semifinal game at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 11, at Midlothian HS.
