January 13, 1949 ~ November 8, 2022 (age 73)

William Dale Holloway of Stephenville, known to those that knew him best as “Billy Dale,” passed away at the age of 73 on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.He was born to Charles Delbert Holloway and Juanita Clark Holloway on January 13, 1949, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He moved to Texas in his 20’s and remained here until his death.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jackie Charles “Chuck” Holloway.

He is survived by his current wife Sandy Priddy Sampley Holloway, married December 6, 2015. He’s also survived by his children, daughter Jodi Golightly of Lubbock, daughter Cori Garcia and husband Rick of Hico, son William Tyson Holloway of Waco, stepchildren-in-love, Bo Sampley and spouse Lauren and 3 children of Stephenville and Peyton Sampley of Dallas, a sister Nancy Caldwell of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, brother Carl Holloway and special friend Virginia Edmonds of Mesquite and Karen Lewis of Daingerfield; his grandchildren Roe Golightly and spouse Caitlin of Hico, Cody Garcia of Montana and Lane Golightly of Stephenville, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a Mason and he’ll be best remembered for his engaging personality and his love of music and being a singer and guitarist, known at the Country Opry as, “The Duffau Flash.” He’ll be missed and remembered.

The service for Bill will be held at the Erath County Cowboy Church on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. The visitation will be held at Lacy Funeral Home on Saturday evening, November 12, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
