(August 17, 1930 – January 23, 2023)
Bobbie Jean Bradley was born August 17, 1930, in Waco, Texas to parents, Robert and Lucille Williams. After high school, she went on to graduate from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. With a lifelong love of animals of all kinds, Bobbie fostered a particular interest in horses and the western way of life and soon had a horse of her own that she trained for barrel racing. She traveled around the Central Texas and South Texas areas competing at barrel races as a Texas Barrel Racing Association member, as well as many rodeos.
At one of these rodeos, Bobbie met Bill Bradley, and they later married on December 6, 1958. The couple made their home in Dublin, Texas, operating a successful dairy farm and raising registered Quarter Horse racehorses. They also raised two daughters, Terri, and Luann, passing on their love of fast horses and rodeo competition to both girls.
Bobbie also had a deep love of western art and was herself an accomplished western artist. She was a member of the Double N Cowboy Church of Dublin and made many lifelong friends among the congregation.
Bobbie peacefully departed this life on January 23, 2023, at the age of 92. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Scott Bradley, her parents, Robert O. Williams and Lucille Roberts, and her sister, Betty Brown.
Bobbie is survived by daughter Terri Willingham, her husband Joe Willingham and their two children, Cole and Cade, of Dublin; daughter Luann Johnson and husband Cody Johnson with their three children, Bayli, Tori, and Clay, of Dublin; grandson Scott Willingham and wife Kasi Willingham and their three children, Landri, Brityn and Bowen, of Stephenville, and many dear family members and friends.
