Frances was born on September 25, 1940 in Stephenville to the late Elmer and Alma Mae Johnson.  She was the second child, eldest brother, Ralph followed by younger siblings, Martha, Emma, and Sherrie.  Frances went to school in Selden where she was an active member of the basketball team.  She loved spending time on the water boating with family and friends, and also had a love for training horses.  Frances owned and operated a dairy for over a decade, and owned B&F Trucking for an extended period though out this time as well.

Frances decided to follow her passion and open Selden Upholstery which she tirelessly worked until October 2022.  Frances remained in Stephenville where she actively helped support her community in many aspects including being a caretaker for multiple families for over 25 years.  She then decided to spend some time traveling the country side with her sister for 4 years, seeing the great lands.

The only thing that could bring her back was the love of her great grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending time with.  From watching them play sports to watching them race, she was their loudest cheerleader, and proudest supporter.  Frances was a lifetime member of Selden Baptist Church, she also enjoyed attending Cowboy Church of Erath County, and was a devoted Christian.

Frances is survived by her children, Kathy Crow-Thompson and husband L. E. Thompson of Stephenville, Jimmy Dean Crow of Grapevine, Allen Burgess and wife Cindy of Stephenville; grandchildren, Tyler Thompson and wife Rebecca, Brittney Harper and husband Chase, Kayleigh Crow, Caleb Crow, Devin Burgess and wife Stormi, Terrin Thompson and fiancé Shikhar Subedi; great grandchildren, Brenlee Burgess, Leighten Harper, Kale Burgess, Abby Thompson and Landen Harper; and several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
