Authur Wayne Ables of Hico, Texas passed away at the age of 65 on January 31, 2023. Authur was born March 28, 1957 to Jimmy and Jimmie (Herod) Ables in Waco, Texas. Authur enjoyed the solitude of country living, the Texas Longhorns, western movies, his dog, and playing guitar.
Authur is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mackie Ables. He is survived by his son Austun Ables and wife Jenna; sisters Connie Ables, Leslee Parsons and husband Lee; nephews Derrick Staas and wife Camie, Braxton Parsons; and great nieces Denise and Cecila.
A graveside burial will be held in his honor at 10 a.m. on February 4, 2023 at Duffau Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, find comfort and remembrance when listening to your favorite song.
