On Sunday evening, area music fans got to enjoy a great Texas Music performance at the Chapel On The Bosque.  The event was the March 2023 installment of the Pickers & Poets Singer-Songwriter series.  This month’s guest performers were Lloyd Maines and Terri Hendrix.  This duo was joined by host Craig Clifford for a little over two hours of acoustic song swaps.

Once during the evening, Lloyd Maines shared the following joke with the crowd while host Craig Clifford was busy tuning his banjo.  “What do you call a pretty girl on a banjo player’s arm?  A tattoo.”

These performances are always free due to the generous sponsors: TexStar Kubota, Ace Hardware, First Financial Bank, Lowell Lawn & Landscape, and The Thirsty Armadillos Homebrewers (Tim Jones).  Free beer, free wine, and free snacks!  It doesn’t get much better than that.

But, of course, monetary donations to the Stephenville Historical House Museum grounds are always welcomed. The next show will be on Sunday, April 16, at the Chapel On The Bosque.  Be sure and mark your calendars for this special show which will welcome two special guests, Craig Hillis and Bob Livingston, of The Lost Gonzo Band.  The show starts at 4 p.m.  Hope to see you there.
