Tarleton Singers Recognized at NATS Competition in Commerce

STEPHENVILLE — Four Tarleton State University vocal students distinguished themselves at the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition last weekend at Texas A&M-Commerce.  

Robin Flatt took second place in the fourth/fifth-year treble category, Kylee Russell earned a third place among second-year trebles, Regina White finished fifth as a third-year treble, and first-year tenor/baritone/bass Peyton Stevens was an honorable mention.

One hundred ninety-three competitors made up the field, including singers from the University of North Texas, Texas Christian University, Collin College, Texas A&M-Commerce and Weatherford College.

Each vocalist sang for three judges. Those scoring 90 or above from each judge advanced to the final rounds.
