Yellow Jacket baseball takes Distrct 6-4A title

For the third year in a row, Head Coach Justin Swenson and the Stephenville Yellow Jackets (9-7-1, 6-1) are District 6-4A Champions.

The Jackets, who only lost one district game all season, took the title after defeating the Grandview Zebras (7-4-1), 7-2, on Saturday and the Mineral Wells Rams (2-10), 10-0, on Tuesday. The single district loss was to third place in district Glen Rose (16-10-1, 7-4), 4-5, on March 21 in Glen Rose. Stephenville will play in Mineral Wells on Friday at 7 p.m.

Coming out of district play in first place, the Jackets will face the Benbrook Bobcats (13-8-1), who are second place in District 9-4A, at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 1. The Bobcats are playing against the Graham Steers (7-12-1) on Friday. Graham is currently in last place in District 6-4A and Stephenville defeated Graham, 5-0, on March 28.
