Delane Wilhite, born November 18, 1942 in Dallas County, Texas to parents Thomas and Hazel (Jones) Bonds, passed away in Hico, Texas on May 4, 2023 at age 80. Delane requested there to be no funeral service, as it was her wish that all should remember her the way she was.
Preceding Delane were her parents, daughter Cynthia Long, and grandson Jeremy Jones.
Surviving Delane are two sons, Jeff Wilhite of Mesquite, and Gary Wilhite and wife Kassi of Hico; grandchildren: Jason Long, Misty Stringer and husband Jason, Megan Wilhite and husband Jason Phillips, Hunter Wilhite, Karri Wilhite and Abbigail Wilhite. Also surviving Delane are her sister, Theresa Stokes, brother, Tommy Bonds, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Delane would like to extend a special thanks to the Hico Nursing and Rehab staff and Wings Over Texas Hospice for their care of Delane.
