The Stephenville HS Yellow Jackets (17-9-1) are Bi-District Champions after beating the Levelland Lobos (9-12) in two games over the weekend. The Jackets won the first game, 12-0, and the second, 13-2, to claim the title and move on to the Area round.
Stephenville came out of District 6-4A in first place and is on a 10-game winning streak going back into the regular season.
The Jackets will face the Krum Bobcats (18-16), with Game 1 on Thursday, May 11, Game 2 on Friday, May 12, and a Game 3, if necessary, on Saturday, May 13. All games will be played at Weatherford High School’s baseball field located at 2121 Bethel Road, Weatherford, TX, 76087. Tickets will be sold at the gate and will be $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Krum is coming into the Area matchup after upsetting Sanger (21-15) in three games over the weekend. They won the first game, 8-5, lost Game 2, 5-2, and won the third game, 9-5, to move on and face the Jackets.
