Tarleton Ropers Post Top 10 Times in CNFR Third Round

STEPHENVILLE — Wednesday night action at the College National Finals Rodeo saw two Tarleton State University ropers move into the top 10 of the third go-round.

Korbin Rice and his team roping partner, Cutter Freeman of Cisco Junior College, caught their steer in 13.9 seconds, putting them in eighth place for the round.

Barrel racer Jordan Driver also slipped into eighth with her third-go 14.37-second time.

Goat tying specialist Tori Brower is the only Tarleton representative on today’s docket in Casper, Wyo.

Friday’s schedule includes Tarleton saddle bronc rider Gus Gaillard, tie-down roper Wyatt Crandall and breakaway ropers Tayler Felton and Driver.

National championships in individual events and team competition will be announced following Saturday’s finals.
