Linda Jane Reynolds, 81, of Stephenville passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Linda was born on December 6, 1941, in Sweetwater, Texas to the late Hugh and Lavera Miracle. She spent her childhood in Kermit, Texas. Linda married Waco Reynolds on July 29th, 1961. They spent almost 62 years together. They raised children of their own. However, as dedicated educators, they cared for and mentored many others. This included time at Girls Town U.S.A. in Whiteface, Texas, and The Boys Ranch in Stephenville. Linda earned both her bachelors and masters degrees from Wayland Baptist University. Linda and Waco moved many times during their marriage, but Stephenville is home. She spent many years teaching at Gilbert Intermediate in Stephenville, Texas. Linda is a member of First United Methodist Church in Stephenville. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. Upon retirement from education, Linda and Waco spent time traveling the world. They saw Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Paris, and more. When they weren’t traveling, they spent time with family and their pups or planned the next adventure.
It is hard to describe Linda without Waco. She loved him so much, and they have been a pair for so long, but she was also Mom, Grandma, and Grandmother. She was intelligent, sweet, poised, and the calm to our storm. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband Waco. Siblings: Bob Miracle and wife Claudia, Mary Ann Ashmore, and husband Mack. Children: Shawnee Bass and husband David, Mark Reynolds and wife Kim, Linda Pierce, and husband John. Grandchildren: Krysta Banks, Jake Smith, Katie Fails, Cassie Bloemhof, Randa Duncan, and Cameron Reynolds. Great-Grandchildren: Noah, Emmy, Piper, Dotty, Trigg, Axl, Grayson, Asher, and Oakley, Along with many nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her son Herman Reynolds, parents Hugh and Lavera Miracle, and Sister Becky Bennett.
