The 2023 Concerts In The Park Summer Concert Series is nearing its conclusion. The final show of this summer’s series will be on Thursday, July 27, in the Stephenville City Park on the Doug Montgomery Stage by Davin James and followed by The Bellamy Brothers.
On Thursday, July 13, the area music fans were treated to a fine show by Don McLean. The legendary and historic song, American Pie, was a major hit for Don back in 1971. Don McLean is 77 years old and he is still doing live performances as he has since 1964. City Manager, Jason King, said Larry Joe Taylor and Doug Montgomery were talking out in Florida about how great it would be to get this legendary performer to play in Stephenville. They contacted Jason and the three of them along with the sponsors worked together to make this happen.
