STEPHENVILLE — The Tarleton State women’s soccer team has released its promotional schedule for the 2023 season.
The schedule features six promotional games among the 11 regular season home contests at the Tarleton Soccer Complex this season.
Kicking off the season, a postgame autograph session with the players will be featured on opening night, Aug. 17, against ULM. Schedule posters will be provided to be signed by the players.
On Aug. 25, the team will hold Rootin’ Tootin’ Texans Day featuring a vuvuzela giveaway to fans arriving early for the contest. Education Day as previously released, will be held on Sept. 1 featuring a draw to elementary-aged students with poster-making and a provided lunch.
One of the highlights of the year will be the first edition of Soctoberfest on Oct. 5. Soctoberfest will feature a mug giveaway for early-arriving fans. Greek night will also take place on the fifth, with the opportunity to tailgate prior to the match.
On Oct. 19, a fan-favorite returns from last season, Pups at the Pitch Night. All dogs will receive Tarleton-branded frisbees upon arrival. Dogs will be judged for the best dressed Tarleton spirit with the best going home with a Tarleton goodie bag. Senior Day will be held in the Texans final home regular season match of the season on Oct. 22 against Grand Canyon. A special presentation will be held for the lone player graduating from the program, Macie Witter.
The Texans open their slate with four-straight home games starting with an exhibition game against Baylor on Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. Tarleton State will then open the regular season with a 7 p.m. contest against ULM on Thursday, Aug. 17 at the Tarleton Soccer Complex.
