Services for James Martin “Jim” Bucher, 80, will be held on September 8, 2023, at 10AM. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Jim was born in Bay Shore, New York, on August 3, 1943, to parents Henry Martin Bucher and Opal Jane (Rhodes) Bucher. Jim married Janee Miner-Bucher on May 28, 1997, in Lovington, New Mexico. Jim was an Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He worked as the president of a telephone company before AT&T. He enjoyed motorcycles as his hobby.
Jim was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Janee Miner-Bucher; children, Jason Juan and wife Katie; Jennifer Zauber and husband, Aaron; Jared Bucher and wife, Emily; Jessica Bucher; Julie Solis and husband, Jamie; Sheena Shirley; Justin Bucher and wife, Myia; and Ashley White and husband, Josh; 26 grandchidren and 1 great-grandchild; brother, Leonard Bucher and wife, Barbara; sister, Betty McNair; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael Miner; Ed and Janene Griffith; Ronnie Miner; David and Rita Miner; and Laura Stillman.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, James Lee Bucher.
