Danny Pat Wright

July 1, 1945 ~ August 21, 2023 (age 78)

Danny Pat Wright, 78, the foreman of the Poor Farm, passed away on August 21, 2023, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on July 1, 1945, to Jefferson Lee Wright and Nelene Ashley Wright in Big Spring, Texas. After completing high school, he went on to further his education for a few more years at Howard College in Big Spring. Then he proudly joined the Army National Guard, to serve our country, from 1965-1971. Danny married Sandra Jo Owen Wright on December 31, 1966, in Big Spring. He had been a part of the Comanche community since July 2012. Danny worked for Cosden Oil & Chemical as well as Nunn Electric Supply for 35 years as a craftsman and a salesman before retiring. He was a Mason and a Shriner as well as a member of the Lion’s Club. He and his family are active members of Comanche County Cowboy Church. Some of his favorite times were spent with family.

Dan is survived by his wife, Sandra, his daughter, Patty Cunningham and her husband Sam of Comanche, his grandchildren; Katy Cunningham of Comanche and Bobby Cunningham of Comanche, and his great-granddaughter, Hazely of Comanche, his brother, Lonnie and his wife, Nita, of Bluff Dale, and his nephews, D.D and Ryan.

Dan is preceded in death by both of his parents, his paternal grandparents; D.J. and Ora Lee Wright, and his maternal grandparents; Lee and Pearl Ashley.

Memorials can be made in his name to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
