The Friday Night Lights were bright on August 25 at the FAITH Knights’ first game of the season.
FAITH (1-0) hosted the Evant Elks (0-1) and had an exciting start to the game. Evant received the first kickoff and drove it down the field to the end zone in just 3 plays to strike first. But the Knights answered with lightning speed, as sophomore Luke Hindman returned the onside kick for a Knights touchdown.
The second quarter was a game-changer for the Knights as they started working like a well-oiled machine and were up 64-26 at halftime. The Knights took home the victory, only 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter when they mercy-ruled the Elks and ended the game early with a final score of 71-26.
Come support TWO local teams this Friday, September 1, as the FAITH Knights face the Three-way Braves (0-1) in a local rivalry at Morgan Mill ISD. Kickoff times are 5 p.m. for Junior High and 7:30 p.m. for Varsity.
