IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR if you live in the Cowboy Capital of the World!

Monday officially kicks off Rodeo Heritage Week in Stephenville, and the whole town is looking forward to the many special events going on as the 54th Annual CCPRA Rodeo gears up, which will include three exciting rodeo performances (Sep. 22-24). There will be a parade, the fashion show, a 5K & 1K run, along with many other events to attend for the whole family!

This rodeo is special for many reasons, but one of the most exciting things about the Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo is it lands on the last weekend of the 2023 PRCA regular season. This means that what happens within the beautiful, brand-new rodeo arena, can determine which cowboys and cowgirls make it into the top 15 in the PRCA/WPRA world standings. Ultimately qualifying them for the “Superbowl of Rodeo”, the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV. Which is the final rodeo of the 2023 season in December.

This year, rodeo attendees will be able to witness history, as the new rodeo location “THE FAIRGROUNDS” (Located off Highway 67, north of Stephenville) will be hosting the rodeo for the first time ever. Come support your community and these hardworking cowboys and cowgirls!
