Aubrey “Tyke” Talmadge Hood age 74 of Brownwood passed away on Sunday October 15, 2023. Tyke was born on Thursday, October 28, 1948 in Dublin, Texas to Aubrey Talmadge Hood and Beulah Delores (Fishburn) Hood. He attended school in Dublin.
Tyke never married and had no children, but he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Tyke liked to watch football and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys and never missed a game. He also enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers play baseball along with other sports. Tyke enjoyed reading, with his favorite author being Bill O’Rielly.
Tyke is survived by 2 sisters, Twyla Coan and husband Lee of Deleon, TX, Trudy Hood Bolling of Stephenville, TX; three brothers, Ted Hood of Dublin, TX, Tony Hood of Brownwood, TX and Troy Hood and wife Lisa of Brownwood, TX; 2 sister-in-laws, Rita Hood of Eagle Mountain Lake and Erica Hood of Kerrville, TX; along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Talmadge Hood and Beulah Delores Hood; brothers Tommy Hood and Tex Hood; brother-in-law Curtis Bolling; and sister-in-law Renta Hood.
His family would like to give a special thank you to Melonie Bolling who was very supportive to the family in this difficult time.
