Marvin H Walters Jr was born, July 17, 1959, in Ft Worth, TX to parents Sharon & Marvin Walters Sr, passed away in Ft Worth, Texas October 23, 2023, at age 64.
He graduated from Hico High School where he loved his sports, especially football. He was lucky enough to participant in the Hico “ICE” bowl, a football game few will forget because few were there, as they played Clifton in the freezing snow and ice back in 1976. He was also a collector of wild animals, a few pet raccoons and one very feisty tiny bobcat. “Jr” graduated Hico High School in 1977 and enter the United States Air Force where he became a jet engine mechanic. After his service he worked in several fields, lastly he was a QC inspector for nuclear facilities. This allowed him to travel throughout the US making lifelong friends and spreading his kind heart and big smile.
He spent his free time with family and friends, helping anybody and everybody with anything. If he wasn’t fishing you could find him riding around back roads and listening to music. He had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help someone in need, taking care of all others before himself. Jr was dearly loved and his selfless ways will always have a place in our hearts.
The family of Marvin H Walters Jr would like to invite anyone who knew and loved “Jr” to join us in celebrating his life. Celebration will take place at Hico Hall on November 12th from 12-3. In honor of Marvin Jr we are keeping this a casual event. Come when you can, stay as long as you want to share your favorite stories and memories of our dear son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend to all.
