On Friday the Faith Knights played Texas Wind (4-6) from Waco. It was a very exciting and close game, which ended up being a mud pit in the 4th quarter as the rain began to fall.
The Wind had the first possession of the game, which was quickly stopped by the Knights’ defense, who played a stellar game against such a tough team. There was a lot of scoring on both ends of the field, but the Faith Knights pulled through with their eighth win of the season.
Some stats from Friday night’s game include Travis Robertson (#7) leading the offense with 360 rushing yards, Austin Aardal (#10) with 126 receiving yards and Preston Hyde (#4) with 14 tackles.
The final score was 51-40, finishing up the Stephenville FAITH Knights regular season. FAITH ended up 8-2 remaining in the top two teams of TAIAO Division 1 (North).
The number two spot in their region has guaranteed a first round bye for the Knights. Their next game will be scheduled based on how the first round of playoffs goes.
