Jerry R. Wright, 77, of Morgan Mill, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Funeral services for Jerry will be at 2:00 PM Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Morgan Mill Baptist Church with Joe Rogers and Jim Clifton officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Mill Cemetery. Visitation with the Wright family will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Jerry was born on July 2, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late L. A. and Dorothy Fanning Wright. He grew up in Fort Worth and lived most of his life in Lipan and Morgan Mill. Jerry married Paula McWhorter on August 5, 1998. Jerry began his career in oilfield production and served over 20 years as a law enforcement officer with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Paula; daughters, Jana and husband Ruben Villanueva, Kathy and husband Conner Krey, Sherrell and husband Shane Medlock, and Christan and husband John Poe; sons, Jackie Keen, Jerry and wife Michelle Keen, David Keen, and Donny Keen; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Besides his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Keen, and his ex-wife, Earlene.
The Wright family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Morgan Mill Volunteer Fire Department.
