Services for Nellie Joe Sublett, 95, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Lacy Funeral Home chapel with Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Patillo, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6 p .m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Nellie was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 3, 1928 to parents, Clyde Waits Dorris and Willie Florence Hunt.
Nellie had a true servant’s heart. She spent her life in service to others and found her profession as a nurse to be very rewarding as she truly cared for people. In her spare time, Nellie enjoyed reading and working on puzzles. She especially loved spending holidays with her family, and visiting with her family and friends any time. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ. Nellie was a blessing to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, Nick Sublett of Stephenville; Clyde Sublett & wife, Debra of Beeville; Patty Morrison & husband, Mike of Bluff Dale; daughters-in-law, Shirley Sublett of Mineral Wells; and Donna Sublett of Brownwood; grandchildren, Darran Dutton; Selena Melton; Jennifer Sherman; Rowonna McNeely; Entee Sublett; Charles Martin Sublett; Melissa Shepherd; Mindy Sublett; Sonya Lynn Edwards; Kevin Duane Edwards; & Kaelyn Denise Morrison; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Sublett; and grandson, Jason Ross Sublett.
