The graveside funeral service for Wanda J. Wiggins age 88 of Stephenville Texas will be conducted Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Granbury Rough Creek Cemetery. Visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 pm Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Howell, Kent Howell, Keith Howell, Vince Lewallen, Logan Lewallen, and Josh Morgan.
Wanda passed away February 11, 2024 in Stephenville. She was born Wanda Joyce Fairman to Jarrett and Jessie Fairman on January 31, 1936 in Hood County, Granbury, Texas.
Wanda attended Granbury High School. She went to work for Southwestern Bell as an operator in Granbury. She worked in various positions over the next forty years and 18 days in the telephone industry. She retired from Sprint Telephone Company as District Manager in Stephenville, Texas.
Wanda was an active member of ZONTA International of Stephenville starting in 1986.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: John Herschel Wiggins, and her brother: Bill Fairman.
She is survived by daughter: Penny Simington, husband Dave of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Grandchildren: Jennifer Shipler, Brandon Shipler, and Gregory Lara; nieces: DeeAnn Fairman and Christi Smith. Beloved neighbors Kenneth and Dereece Howell and family of Stephenville, Texas.
