Erath County election results in run-offs

Unofficial totals are in for the 2024 Erath County Election and both contested races will have run-off elections on Tuesday, May 28. A race needs one candidate to receive 50 percent of the votes to win and both contested races did not.

According to the returns, Valerie Stephen and Niki McInroe-Corgburn will face each other for Erath County Tax Assessor-Collector and Sherman Edwards and Ben Clements will run again for Pct. 3 Commissioner.

โ€ข Valerie Stephen – 1,956 (36.11%)

โ€ข Niki McInroe-Cogburn – 1,426 (26.32%)

โ€ข Mike Jones – 1,242 (22.93%)

โ€ข Tina Holzschuh – 793 (14.64%)

โ€ข Ben Clements – 458 (27.26%)

โ€ข Justin Slawson – 423 (25.18%)
