Services for Jarrod Matthew “Matt” Spoon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Timber Ridge Church with Pastor John Barnes officiating. Jarrod passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas, at the age of 34. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Jarrod was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on February 25, 1990, to parents Billy Spoon and Rhonda (Dolberry) Spoon. He married Tami Cheney on May 8, 2014, in Stephenville, Texas.
Jarrod was a member of the Timber Ridge Church. Jarrod worked as a supervisor over mechanical engineering and programming at FMC. He was also a member of N.A.R.A.
Jarrod loved being a dad and spending time making memories with his kids. He was interested in learning about technology and history. Jarrod was a master at grilling and really enjoyed preparing and trying new foods.
Survivors include his wife, Tami Spoon of Stephenville, Texas; his children, Evelyn Spoon, Brenden Spoon, Arthur Spoon, and Conner Spoon, all of Stephenville, Texas; siblings, Brian Wilson and wife, Keia, of Mansfield, Texas, Elvis Spoon and wife, Felicia, of Granbury, Texas, Kim Howell and husband, Stephen, of Dublin, Texas, Angel Howell and husband, John, of Granbury, Texas, Tara Spoon and fiancé, Brandon, of Granbury, Texas, Melanie Spoon of Granbury, Texas, Frank Spoon of Weatherford, Texas, and Brandy Spoon of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews including Austin, Paige, Addison, and Konrad, who he considered all like his own children.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bo Spoon, Mark Spoon, and Camilla Taylor.
