John Morgan Howle Jr., 83, passed away on the morning of April 27, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on May 03, 1940, in Stephenville, Texas, to John Morgan and Annie Oleta (McDowell) Howle. He graduated from Stephenville High School then went on to Tarleton to continue his education. He married Allene Rowe on August 15, 1959, in Stephenville. Junior served in the Army National Guard and the United States Army doing his duty to his country before returning home to his growing family. He was a hard worker and at one point, he and his wife Allene operated one of the largest dairies in Erath County. They raised Angora goats for several years and eventually switched to raising hogs. This endeavor was intensive and resulted in 1500-2000 marketed monthly. Through his example and teachings, he instilled in his children and grandchildren that same hard work ethic and love of the land. 

Junior received many awards and recognition through the years, but one of the most honored was being Star Young Farmer of Texas and supporting this organization. Junior was active in many Dairy organizations AMPI and Dairy Farmers of America and received many awards and recognition through these organizations also. 

Junior and Allene are members of the Greens Creek Baptist Church. 

Junior is survived by his loving wife, Allene Howle, his son, Johnny Howle and his wife, Jan, his daughter, Laura Willis and, his grandchildren, Tyler Howle and his wife, Emily, Justin Howle, Emilye May and her husband, Brad, Matt Willis and his wife, Mollie, Jace Willis and his wife, Bianca, his great-grandchildren, Madison Howle, Connor Howle, John Raymond Howle, Katherine Willis, and LeRoy Willis, he also leaves behind a brother, Willard Howle, a sister, Clara Byerly, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Junior is preceded in death by both of his parents, his son-in-law, Mark Willis, as well as several other siblings.

A graveside service for John will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., at Corinth Cemetery in Erath County. A visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Stephenville Funeral Home, in Stephenville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Project 22 for Veterans or any Young Farmer organizations.
