Betty Jen Wilson, born January 7, 1939, in Prague, Oklahoma to parents George and Leotha (Laudrey) Cornelius, passed away in Temple, Texas on June 5, 2024, at age 85, surrounded by her family. Betty most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sewing, square dancing and playing bingo. Betty received her GED in the 80’s from St. Phillips College and continued her education, completing her Degree in Tailoring and Interior Design also from St. Phillips College. She was a lifetime member of the Confederate Rose of Texas, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Betty was the wife of a US Army Solder for 22 years.
Preceding Betty are her parents, husband George M. Wilson; daughter, Jeannette McCann; granddaughter Candra Sue McCann, and son in-laws, David McCann and Lone’ Blevins. \
Surviving Betty are children, James Lynn Wilson and wife LeeAnn, Sherry Ann Blevins; grandchildren, Ricky McCann and wife Carrie, Ashley Ripps and husband Marvin, Tiffany Miller and husband Luke, Krystal Wilson, Cathryn Rachal and husband Codey; great grandchildren, Macayla McCann, Jerod McCann, Gage Miller, Peyton Miller, Colton Ripps, Haylee Rachal and Preston Ripps.
Visitation 10am – 12 pm Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Services will be at 12pm, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home with James Lynn Wilson officiating. Burial to follow at Carlton Cemetery, Carlton, Texas.
